Welcome campers!

Join us for our second full season of Summer Adventure Camp at Park City Community Church! We welcome rising kindergarteners through rising fifth graders for our week-long camp sessions. Rising sixth graders through rising tenth graders are encouraged to register for our counselor-in-training leadership program (details below). While PCCC is a faith-based community, Summer Adventure is simply about nurturing kind, curious kids!

Activities

Buckle up for a summer of maximum enthusiasm and wild imaginations! Water balloons, ooblek experiments, culinary competitions, pool parties, nature hikes, clay, stencil and multimedia artwork, scavenger hunts, meditation, singing, dancing, acting, puppy cuddles, minute-to-win-it, ballistic trivia & more! We also have the BEST all-camp games such as Quest, Gargoyles and Broomball! Each week we will go on at least one local field trip which may include: Park City Museum, Deer Valley Beach, Park City Farmer’s Market, the Basin Recreation Splash Pad, etc…

Fees and Scholarships

We currently only offer weekly rates. The camper rate is $275 per week and Counselors-in-Training are $210 per week. The week of July 4th is a mini week, July 1-3. Rates are $225/$160.

If sending your child to camp this summer presents a true financial burden for your family, please fill out an application. You will be contacted within 2 weeks regarding the amount of assistance we can offer. Scholarship recipients may choose from any available camp sessions after their application has been approved. Households that have been approved for scholarship may apply that discount to all children within the household for up to 2 weeks of camp per child.

Cancellation Policy

If canceling a camp session more than 14 days before the start of that session, you will be charged a non-refundable fee of $75 per registration you cancel. If canceling within 14 days of the start of the program, you will be charged the entire program fee. PCCC will communicate acknowledgment of requests to cancel a registration. If you do not receive notification, please contact the program director. All refunds are issued to the original form of payment. Refunds are issued within two weeks of the cancelation date. Not attending a program does not entitle you to a refund. When you enroll in a program, you are reserving space, time, and staffing whether or not your child attends the program.

Counselors in Training

All CITs are required to participate in a free overnight training June 7-8.

Counselors-In-Training (CITs) are rising sixth through tenth graders who are excited to learn about leadership and serving others. CITs begin by participating in an overnight training June 7-8.

During the training they learn games, songs, yoga sequences, risk management, healthy behavior tools, logistical skills, as well as tips and tricks for helping campers feel that they’re understood and they belong. They also have opportunities to plan their very own classes and activities that they’ll lead this summer.

We treat CITs with respect, believing that they are a special and valuable part of our leadership team!

Join us for another unforgettable trip to unknown destinations. Our theme this year is SUSTAINABILITY and ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE.

Joyride is not a mission trip but, it is a trip with a mission. We believe the old saying that, ‘knowledge is power’. Our kids are hungry to make sense of the world around them and to believe they have what it takes to build a better future. While we learn, serve and explore, students develop valuable skills to help them navigate an uncertain world with joy and grounding.

In the months before the trip, we will meet several times to develop our knowledge of our theme Sustainability and Environmental Justice. We will also work on several fundraisers together to cover the cost of the trip. On the evening of Friday, July 19 our group will meet and the trip will begin! But here’s the catch, families and students won’t know what region of the country we’ll be exploring until the night of July 19! And, after that, students and families will only discover details for the following 24 hours. Each evening students find out where they will be and what they’ll be doing for the next day. Families receive a text each morning with that information. Not only is it fun being on a mystery trip but, we find it really helps students stay in the moment. We spend the first several days of the trip exploring another region and working with non-profits that share our theme. Then, we return to our own community for the last bit of the trip. This gives us an incredible opportunity to connect with organizations doing the work right here at home. Students are able to transfer the knowledge they’ve developed and start thinking critically about how the topic impacts their own neighbors. The experience concludes with our group taking over the Sunday morning service with a presentation and call to action for the Park City community.

The application closes February 22. Interviews will take place via video chat February 23 and 24. The trip cost will be paid for through student fundraising in the months prior to the trip.
